NYSC Increases Corpers Federal Allowance To N38,000 Starting From March, 2013.

By on February 25, 2013

With effect from March 2013 when the Batch A Corps Members get to camp, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) will increase the Allowance (Allowee) given to each serving Corps Member.

The Allowance will be increased from the present N19,800 paid to each Corps Member to N38,000.

Recently, the “NYSC Allowee Increment Takes Effect From “Batch A” March, 2013″ news was also seen to scroll at the base of the screen on a Nigerian TV Station.

The picture below was taken while the news scrolled.

Although these are unconfirmed reports as no official has gone public to anounce the increment yet but our team are currently working on this and trying to get some contacts and get the confirmation from reliable sources as we have started receiving lots of emails and tweets asking if this is really true.

We shall get you updated as soon as we get more information on this news.

Please, those of us potential Batch C Corp members from University of Maiduguri wish our call-up letters should be left in Abuja for us because of incesant killings on Maiduguri road.

If there is no increament from march, i think there should be an effective implementation in june for batch B for the increament to start occuring in each prospective’s corp’s member.
Pls, let the increament of a thing start paying from june(batch B).
And if nothing, all is well. In God we trust. We will surely sustain. It is well.

The best thing government should do is to implement the amount of money paying to corpers, to 30,000 naira so that the can reserve some amount for establishment after service

There is no plan for an increment. Nysc is a rubbish. During your nysc program you end up borrowing money to support your monthly expenditure or you end up disturbing mum, dad or other relations for supportive money. Imagine nonsense from a graduate still disturbing and needing financial help. Is like corpers are not expected to eat, cloth, rent a room, and to smile. Nysc should be removed from the scheme. Nonsense!
