A film that will focus on the story of the world’s best footballer and Barcelona Star Lionel Messi is expected to be released before the 2014 world cup after a Los Angeles movie production company (Epic Pictures) bought the rights to a biography of the football legend. The film is set to focus on Messi’s boyhood in Argentina and treatment for growth hormone deficiency, before depicting his on-field successes.

Apparently Epic Pictures bought the rights to Leo’s biography, Messi: The Inside Story Of The Boy Who Became A Legend and they plan to finance and produce the film. Patrick Ewald

The Chief Executive in charge of the movie  told Variety magazine that the goal is to make a powerful and positive film that will leave audience feeling inspired to go after their dreams no matter how impossible they may seem.

Although the distribution of the film is yet to be decided as Epic Pictures are still holding talks with writers and directors about the project, the production group hope to finish the film in time for the 2014 World Cup.
